Muslims unite in Eid ul Adha prayers worldwide


Muslims around the world celebrated Eid ul Adha on Friday, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice”. The three-day festival is marked by special prayers, festive meals, and the ritual sacrifice of animals. 

The meat is then distributed equally among family, friends, neighbours, and the poor.

Eid ul Adha commemorates the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim, who was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as a test of obedience. When he was prepared to follow through, Allah accepted his devotion and replaced Ismail with a lamb.
